Reserve a game slot for yourself. Stop waiting, start playing!

This idea was started in May of 2004 and is a way to raise money to support the gaming server costs. RoseBum is a non-profit community that survives off of donations and services sold. If enough of a profit should ever be made, it will go towards upgrading even more.

If you are a frequent RoseBum visitor and notice that a lot of the time through peak playing hours, it is difficult to access the servers whenever you wish due to the crowd, consider signing up for a reserved server slot.

RoseBum will only sell a few per month to the highest bidders and will allow them access to one of the following servers at any given time when they are online.

- UT99 CTF Server
- UT2004 VCTF Server
- UT2004 Invasion Server

Does this mean players have to pay to play?
No

How does it work?
- Once the UT99 CTF servers reaches 18 players, it will start to restrict access to non password holders.
- Once the UT2004 VCTF server reaches 12 players, it will only allow slot holders access. (no password needed)
- Once the UT2004 Invasion server reaches 12 players, it will only allow slot holders access. (no password needed)

Why is this option available?
This option has been made available because of the amount of demand to stop waiting, plus it helps finance the servers.

How many slots are available?
There are two slots available per server, therefore only two slots being sold per server to avoid the chance that all slot holders would access the servers at the same time and not be enough room.

Can I share the password if I purchase a slot?
No. If it is discovered that slot holders are sharing the password(s), they may find themselves banned including the players they shared with.

Why auction the passwords?
Due to the limited amount of slots being made available vs the amount of players that want this, an auction is required.

How long will my password last for?
The password will last for 30 days starting from purchase date. The option to renew is available as well, just let the admin know.

How will I send payment?
Currently only PayPal and other means of quick money transfer is being accepted and special links will be provided to those with the highest bids. If however the dollar amount is worth waiting for, snail mail will be accepted.

I sent a donation, where is my password?
Do not just send money and expect to receive a password. You must first win the auction and be contacted with appropriate payment links. Donations have nothing to do with server slot auctions. If you wish to donate, visit the donation page. If you want to bid, fill out the form below.

Use the form below to signup for a reserved slot for one month. Due to the limited supply of slots, a minimum bid of $10 is required per server. If and when an available slot should open up and your bid exceeds the rest, you will be contacted via email at that time.
